Today’s preview is for Brenham School Board – Position 6, where Justin Colley and Mike Garner are running for the seat held by Natalie Lange, who did not seek re-election. Justin Colley works as a regional sales manager at Brannon Industrial Group.

The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice on Wednesday. At 12:30 p.m., firefighters received a report of an alarm going off at a home in the 2200 block of Creekwood Lane. Nothing was showing from the exterior of the home. Upon meeting with the homeowner, she advised one of her smoke detectors was going off, but no smoke or fire was found inside. The department advised the homeowner to have her alarm company check out the system.
