RAPID CITY, S.D. - It's the first big tournament of the American Legion baseball season. The 6th Annual Black Hills Veterans Classic kicked off Thursday in Rapid City. The tournament, which is hosted by both Post 22 and Post 320, features 16 teams from five different states. Post 22 played in the final game of the day against Post 7 from Huron. Jace Morgan collected three hits in three at bats and Jadon Moreno threw a no-hitter and Post 22 defeated Huron, 6-0.

RAPID CITY, S.D. - After winning the consolation championship last season, Rapid City Stevens is returning to the State 'AA' softball tournament for the second year in a row and the Raiders are hoping for a higher finish this time around. The three-day tournament kicks off on Thursday in Sioux Falls with the quarterfinals. Rapid City Stevens is the No. 6 seed with a 14-3 record. The Raiders are led by their two seniors, Lainey Van Zee and Addie Hock.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The State Track and Field Meet continued on Friday at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls. Local athletes won seven more state titles including Kincade Lehman and Ciana Stiefel from Custer. Lehman won the Class 'A' boys triple jump for the second year in a row and set a new meet record with a jump of 48' 6.5". Meanwhile, Stiefel captured her third straight state title in the Class 'A' girl pole vault after clearing 12' 3".
