MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - As Capital City Theatre celebrates 10 years of bringing Broadway level performances to the Madison area, the non-profit is raising money to make sure the shows go on. On April 26, the group is holding its ‘Decade of Dreams’ fundraiser, featuring performances, food and an auction. “In the last years, we’ve experienced a lot of growth and have outgrown the space that we’re in,” said Erin Weller, Director of Marketing and Development.

TOWNSHIP OF ELBA, Wis. (WMTV) - A 22-year-old woman from Beaver Dam is dead and multiple others are hurt after a wrong way crash Friday night. According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, someone reported a vehicle driving the wrong way on US Highway 151 at about 11:04 p.m. One minute later, authorities received a call saying the vehicle going southbound in the northbound lanes near State Highway 73 crashed into another vehicle head-on.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The visa of an international student at Madison Area Technical College has been revoked. In an email sent to students, Interim Vice President of Student Affairs Tina Ahedo said the student’s F-1 visa was revoked on April 9, and their Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) records were terminated. Madison College said it was not notified ahead of time about the visa termination and said federal authorities have not shared why this happened.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Applications are now open to serve on the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Wolf Advisory Committee (WAC). The WAC will help the DNR implement the Wisconsin Wolf Management Plan which was approved in 2023. Duties include providing input to the DNR on policies, plans, harvest quotas and more. The WAC will identify issues relating to wolves and be a place for public input about the DNR’s wolf management activities.

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WMTV) - Preliminary work along I-90/94 between US 12 and WIS 23 near Wisconsin Dells is scheduled to start Monday, April 14. The project will replace deteriorating pavement and on the US 12, WIS 13 and WIS 23 ramps. I-90/94 will still be open once construction starts, with lane closures and nighttime work expected, per WisDOT. The project is projected to be complete in August of 2025, depending on weather conditions.
