    A fire disaster has razed a section of the historical palace of the emir of Bauchi, Alh. Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, destroying properties worth millions of naira. LEADERSHIP gathered that the inferno, despite a quick response from Bauchi firefighters, raised two blocks comprising several rooms in the palace. Burnt materials littered the vicinity. The trigger of the fire incident was not made public. However, poor management of electric appliances caused several fire outbreaks in Bauchi.

    Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has donated N20 million to the families of four staff members of the State Water Agency who were drowned at the Gubi Dam Water treatment plant. LEADERSHIP reports that four staff members of the Gubi Dam water treatment plant, including a father and his son, a groom-to-be and another staff member, drowned while cleaning the reservoir supplying water to Bauchi metropolis.

    Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has mourned the death of four staff of the Gubi-Dam water treatment plant who died on a routine cleaning of the reservoir. The four staff members who died include a father and his son, a groom-to-be and a colleague. They died while attempting to fish in the reservoir. Reacting to their death, Governor Mohammed yesterday ordered an immediate investigation into the circumstances which led to the death of the workers.

    Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has approved the appointment of the emir of Jama’are, Alhaji Nuhu Wabi, as the 2025 Amirul Hajj, leading Muslim Pilgrims to this year’s Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The governor, who disclosed over the weekend in Bauchi, also appointed Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, as deputy Amirul Hajj.
