The City of Thomasville is considering rezoning 725 North Dawson Street from residential to a cultural facility. That area is the Thomasville History Center and the lot adjacent to it. Hands & Hearts for Horses received a $25,000 grant to renovate their playground and make it handicap accessible. The program is working to expand their services to reach more people. Fountain of Life Rescue Shelter is has been awarded a $3,000 South Georgia Legacy Fund grant. The money will go towards payroll.
