NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports officials announced Wednesday the format for the 2025 NASCAR All-Star Race, including an expanded 250-lap main event, a new promoter’s caution rule, revisions to the Pit Crew Challenge and an enhanced spotlight on manufacturer competition. The annual Cup Series exhibition is scheduled for Sunday, May 18 (8 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN Radio, SiriusXM) at North Wilkesboro Speedway, marking the third consecutive year for the All-Star Race at the historic 0.625-mile track.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame revealed the 15 nominees for its Class of 2026 on Monday, adding former champions Kurt Busch and Randy LaJoie to the ballot for the first time. Busch and LaJoie — who were both added to the list of NASCAR‘s 75 Greatest Drivers in 2023 — are among the 10 legends who will appear on the Modern Era Ballot when voters convene on Tuesday, May 20 in Charlotte for Voting Day.

Kyle Larson and the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports team put on a masterclass in winning Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Larson led 411 of the 500 laps, just missing out on a weekend tripleheader sweep after finishing second in Friday’s Craftsman Truck Series race and prevailing in Saturday’s Xfinity Series go. Plenty of other strong performances were worth noting from Sunday’s event, as were a handful of showings that could have used some improvement.

DARLINGTON, S.C. — Ryan Blaney had plenty to take away from a valiant charge in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series showdown at Darlington Raceway — gobs of long-run speed in his No. 12 Team Penske Ford, a savvy pit strategy that nearly paid off, and a post-race smack on the behind from NBA great Michael Jordan, who had just finished consoling his 23XI Racing driver Tyler Reddick moments earlier. Areas of improvement in execution, though, were also on the takeaway list.
