The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, LLC, commonly known as NASCAR, is a prominent American organization that oversees and organizes auto racing events, primarily focused on stock car racing. Established in 1948 by Bill France Sr., the company remains privately owned and is currently led by his son, Jim France, who has held the position of CEO since August 6, 2018. NASCAR's main office is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. Annually, the organization sanctions more than 1,500 races across over 100 tracks located in 48 states in the U.S., as well as in Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
