Town of Arpin, Wis. (WSAW) - At least two people were treated for their injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the Township of Arpin. According to a press release from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch was notified about the crash at Highway 186 and North Road at approximately 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Medical evaluations were done on the four people involved in the two-vehicle crash. One person was taken by helicopter to the Marshfield Medical Center, another was taken by ambulance.

MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) - Crews responded to an early morning fire in rural Wood County Friday. According to an alert from WisDOT, the fire was reported at approximately 3:55 a.m. Friday on State Road 80. Shortly after, crews closed WIS 80 in both directions between County Road N. Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route.

GRAND RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAW) - A barn is completely lost after an overnight fire in rural Wood County. NewsChannel 7 spoke with the Grand Rapids Fire Chief Monday morning who says several crews responded to the scene to put out the flames. It happened in Saratoga, about 10 minutes south of Wisconsin Rapids. The chief says the barn at 4768 Evergreen Avenue was fully engulfed when crews arrived. Luckily, no one was in the barn and several horses were able to get out uninjured.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Touring group ‘Kids from Wisconsin’ is looking for new talent for it’s 2025 season. Audition applications are now available for young performers. Those selected will spend the summer perfecting their performance skills through a series of rehearsals. It is free to audition. The troupe is composed of 36 student performers (22 dancer/vocalists with a 14-piece show band).
