Jun. 21—JAMESTOWN — The 56th Fort Seward Covered Wagon Train leaves Jamestown on Monday, June 23, and will end its trek on Saturday, June 28, said Lacey Int Veldt, president of the Fort Seward Inc. Covered Wagon Train board. "We're going to end in Marion, North Dakota, to go through their parade and help celebrate their 125th (celebration)," Int Veldt said.

JAMESTOWN — Dave Shaloski said he planned to live in Jamestown until he died. But then he lost two friends. He’s now preparing to leave on a bike trip of about 17,000 miles to raise awareness for mental health. Shaloski’s hoping Jamestown residents will see him off. He will be leaving from the World’s Largest Buffalo at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 28. He said he expects it will take about two years to complete the trip. Shaloski, 64, said he goes by Dave Ski.

JAMESTOWN – The Advanced Theatre Arts class of Jamestown Public Schools will perform “The SpongeBob Musical” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, June 26-27, in the Jamestown High School Theater. “The SpongeBob Musical” is based on the Nickelodeon “SpongeBob SquarePants” cartoon television series by Stephen Hillenburg, with the book by Kyle Jarrow. Director Mike McIntyre said the musical comedy will appeal to all ages.

Jun. 14—JAMESTOWN — A peaceful "No Kings" march drew 181 participants on Saturday, June 14, in Jamestown, said the Rev. Marty Toepke-Floyd, one of the event organizers. "We are exercising our First Amendment rights to freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion," he said prior to the event.
