    CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Brandon King, the suspended mayor of East Cleveland, and Ernest Smith, a former East Cleveland councilman, will return to court Monday morning for a hearing. King and Smith were scheduled to be sentenced Monday; however, that has been continued and a new date has not yet been set. On May 29, a jury found both King and Smith guilty of corruption related charges, including, theft in office.

    CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The suspect has already served eight years, but now he’s headed back to court. She wants her son to be remembered for who he was and not what happened to him. Robyn Knights wears a necklace with her son’s ashes. Keeping Mario Harris Jr. close to her heart wherever she goes. “That’s my son. He’s not with me other than in here. I can’t hug him. Hold him. Hear is a laugh. See his smile. Other than a photo,” said Knights. She lost Harris on November 30th, 2024.

A generous gift has helped them get back to feeding the hungry.     SANDUSKY, Ohio (WOIO) - It’s been less than two weeks since an 8-month-old puppy named Ivy endured life-saving emergency surgery after being brutally stabbed allegedly by her now former owner, Friendship Animal Protective League confirmed. “It didn’t look like a dog. She no longer looked like a dog,” said Greg Willey, Executive Director of Friendship Animal Protective League.
