NORWALK — Through an online volunteering program, Norwalk resident Sam Aldershof is able to teach a Ukrainian citizen the workings of the English language without having to leave Connecticut. ENGin, a nonprofit group, connects English speakers with English language learners abroad for weekly video chat conversations. Aldershof, who grew up in Stamford, said it is one way he can positively contribute to life in Ukraine, which has been at war since a Russian invasion in February 2022.
