DENVER, CO (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers clubbed three home runs in a series-opening 7-1 win over the Colorado Rockies in Denver on Tuesday night. Brice Turang, Christian Yelich and William Contreras all homered in the seventh inning for Milwaukee in the victory. Freddy Peralta earned the win, allowing a run and striking out six batters in five innings. Brenton Doyle hit a solo shot, accounting for Colorado’s lone run in the loss. The Rockies dropped to 2-8.

BRONX, NY (WHBL) – The New York Yankees took down the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2 on Opening Day from the Bronx. Freddy Peralta suffered the loss despite striking out eight batters over five innings. Austin Wells and Anthony Volpe homered for New York while Carlos Rodon earned the win after giving up one run over five-plus innings. Milwaukee continues the three-game series Saturday afternoon.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WHBL) – The Minnesota Gophers gave number-12 Wisconsin a scare but ultimately lost to the Badgers 74-67 at Williams Arena on Wednesday night. Minnesota was within three with three-and-a-half minutes to play before Wisconsin pulled away. John Blackwell led the Badgers in scoring with 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double. John Tonje added 18 points as the Badgers have won two-of-three and improved to 23-7.

(WHBL) – The Wisconsin Badgers fell to Number-8 Michigan State 71-62 from Breslin Center on Sunday afternoon. John Blackwell led Wisconsin with 19 points. Nolan Winter grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds to go with nine points as the 12th-ranked Badgers have lost two-of-three and slipped to 22-7. Jaden Akins netted 19 points to lead the eighth-ranked Spartans, while Jaxon Kohler had 10 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.

MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Bucks put together a dominant fourth quarter en route to a 116-110 win over the LA Clippers at the Fiserv Forum on Thursday night. The Bucks outscored the Clippers 36-21 in the final frame to pick up the win in a return from the All-Star break for both teams. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 23 points and eight rebounds. Brook Lopez chipped in 22 points and also had four blocks. The Bucks have won three of four to sit at 30-24.
