A home was destroyed by fire in the town of Genoa Friday morning. A call came in at about 4:50 a.m. for a house on fire at 1058 Bradley St., Cayuga County 911 dispatchers told The Citizen. The majority of the blaze was extinguished by about 5:30 a.m. The American Red Cross was called to assist the residents.

Peterkin, 26, attacked several officers while he was being admitted to the prison’s medical unit on July 9, 2023, New York State Police Public Information Officer Lynnea Crane told The Citizen in an email.
