    WALTERS, Okla. (KSWO) - Everything is feeling new in Walters, including the playground. 7News caught up with the new City Manager to talk about a playground that’s brand new to them, after the City of Lawton donated the equipment. Two officials from the city said it was about time they upgraded their 20-year-old equipment. “It was 20-years-old, it was time to go,” said Karla Eschiti, emergency manager for Walters.

    ALTUS, Okla. (KSWO) - Several community members in Altus approached the city recently to voice their complaints about a hazardous sewer drainage trap. The drainage trap had a large hole in it, which posed an issue for a multitude of different reasons. It’s located on the west side of the city, near the corner of Joy and Frisco streets. The city has since fixed the hole, but the contaminated water remains.

    MOUNTAIN VIEW, Okla. (KSWO) - A sudden downburst in Kiowa County left behind widespread damage in Mountain View around 8:30 p.m., July 16. As far as the damage goes, 7News spoke with Jeremy Hooper, Mountain View’s mayor, who says a warehouse barn is completely destroyed, a house is without part of its roof, several campers were tipped over and multiple small buildings were hit or picked up by the storm. One of the small buildings was thrown into a gas meter.
