A village road will be closed towards the end of the month for £10,500 worth of repairs. Wilney Green in Bressingham will be shut at the junctions of Lopham Road and Halford Road, between May 26 and 28. Access to properties within the closure will be maintained from one end of the closure and there will be signed diversion route along The Valley, Fersfield Road, Hall Lane and Lopham Road will be set up.

An MP has called on education bosses to urgently address the funding crisis affecting rural schools in Norfolk and Suffolk. In a letter sent to Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson, Waveney Valley MP Adrian Ramsay highlighted the mounting challenges that schools face due to insufficient funding.

Published: 12:11, 13 May 2025 Officers are appealing for information following a town incident of indecent exposure. The incident happened on Saturday, at approximately 11.30am, on the northern end of the Tiffey Trail near Chapel Lane in Wymondham, where a man exposed himself to a passing by victim. The man is believed to be Asian and described as being in his 30s or 40s, wearing a face mask, dark clothing and long hair, possibly in a ponytail.

A small village club has issued a rallying cry for more boardgame fans to join them – and score big. First set up in 2024 by husband-and-wife team George Georgiou and Pauline Salmon, Palgrave Boardgame Club is celebrating its first anniversary. “We love boardgames and we thought we could bring that to the village, get more people involved and make it a sociable event,” explained Mr Georgiou.
