BEAUMONT, Texas — The Beaumont Police Department is investigating a triple shooting that happened during a trail ride in the 6500 block of Bigner road late on Saturday. One person has died, two others were injured, according to police. Officers were called to an area near West Beulah Baptist Church at 11:33 pm. Officers had to maneuver through a large crowd to get to the two people who were shot.

NEWTON COUNTY, Texas — Newton County Constable Pct. 4 Howard Wonders has deemed a sergeant in his office 'Hero of the Month' after she saved a toddler who was running across a busy street in Houston. Sergeant Lisa Stepney of the Newton County Pct. 4 Constable's office was driving down Scott Street on December 7 when she spotted the child, according to Constable Wonders' Facebook post. Sgt. Stepney was able to block traffic and bring the child back to her vehicle.

BEAUMONT, Texas — The Beaumont Police Department is providing 12News a behind-the-scenes look into the training they have used for 12 years to prepare officers for real-life scenarios. The Multiple Interactive Learning Objectives, or MILO Range, is a machine that simulates around 800 scenarios from active shooters to domestic violence calls, according to MILO Range instructor and BPD officer Matt Morrow.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police Detectives want to speak with a man in connection to a woman's death at the Days Inn in the 2155 block of North 11th Street, according to a press release. Police were called to the inn on Sunday, July 23rd close to 1 p.m. Detectives believe the man they are looking for was the last person to have seen the woman. This is a developing story.
