MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Tonight, celebration and disappointment for one Mobile high school on the road to the basketball state championship. In class 5A the Vigor high school boys’ basketball team dominated their game today in the final four, maintaining for the majority of the game a nearly 20-point lead. Out the gate the wolves played strong and never looked back. Vigor boys defeated the Guntersville wildcats, 71 to 53.

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Alabama’s newest congressman got a big welcome Thursday from senior class students at Vigor high school. District two representative, Shomari Figures stopped by the school Thursday morning to talk to students about goal setting, relationship building and community involvement. Students asked the congressman a ton of questions and he answered just about all of them.

Monday, NBC 15’S Kym Anderson sat down with former public safety director Lawrence Battiste who exclusively told NBC 15 he's ready to lead the Port City. They talked about his main focus to better the city and his strong faith that lead him to this decision to run. "I prayed a lot about this decision. Probably back to about four years ago when mayor Stimpson was elected to his last term.

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — January 6th is Epiphany day, also known as 'three kings day'. The Christian holiday marks the end of the Christmas season and the beginning of Carnival season. This past Saturday night my family got to kick off the season a little earlier. We had the privilege of joining more than 500 people as we watched my daughter Kirklyn Thurman be crowned Carnival Royales Mardi Gras association’s 2025 youth Mardi Gras queen by the 2025 youth king, Damaurion Cole.
