CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - As the number of adults who use cannabis products increases, so does the probability of a young child accidentally ingesting cannabis. Dr. Michael Beuhler with North Carolina Poison Control says the number of children under the age of 12 exposed to products containing cannabis -- like gummies and edibles -- have doubled in the past few years. That exposure could lead to a serious health emergency.

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Tonight, celebration and disappointment for one Mobile high school on the road to the basketball state championship. In class 5A the Vigor high school boys’ basketball team dominated their game today in the final four, maintaining for the majority of the game a nearly 20-point lead. Out the gate the wolves played strong and never looked back. Vigor boys defeated the Guntersville wildcats, 71 to 53.

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Alabama’s newest congressman got a big welcome Thursday from senior class students at Vigor high school. District two representative, Shomari Figures stopped by the school Thursday morning to talk to students about goal setting, relationship building and community involvement. Students asked the congressman a ton of questions and he answered just about all of them.

They talked about his main focus to better the city and his strong faith that lead him to this decision to run. "I prayed a lot about this decision. Probably back to about four years ago when mayor Stimpson was elected to his last term.
