Grado – a wrestling superstar who has made the transition from the ring to our TV screens, subsequently making his way into the nation’s hearts en route. Hailing from ‘the tap end of Stevenson’, Grado, or Graeme Stevely, began wrestling when he was just 13 years old – donning his mum’s cycling shorts and his granny’s tartan waistcoat. “Because Steve Austin wore a leather waistcoat, I thought ‘I’m Scottish, so I’ll wear a tartan one’,” he told Whats On Scotland.

A service dog has “wowed” judges at auditions to land the role of top dog in a play set to run during Glasgow’s International Comedy Festival. Roxy will take centre stage in Walking Shadows, which will run at Websters Theatre in March during Glasgow’s International Comedy Festival. Writer and director Michael Lewis described the play as a three act farce about amateur theatre involving 12 actors and a dog.

Gareth Gates. The man who first appeared on our TV screens back in 2002 on TV show Pop Idol. The one we were all gripped watching as he took on Will Young in a battle to take the talent show crown. He didn’t. He was runner-up. But that hasn’t held him back. Gareth, 40, has gone onto enjoy chart success as well as being the leading man in many major musicals. He also won Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins in 2023, which was no mean feat.
