    Parts of southeastern Colorado are getting the brunt of a large snowstorm, but the snowfall is still piling up in the Denver metro area and other parts of the Front Range on Friday. It's a First Alert Weather Day, and it continues into Saturday morning. This is the final shot from a powerful storm system that actually first moved into Colorado on Tuesday.

    Thunderstorms are possible along the Front Range on Monday afternoon. Monsoonal moisture will increase the chance of storms from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the eastern plains through 9 p.m. Large hail, strong wind and potential flooding are all risks from developing storms. Some of them will be strong, including heavy rain, large hail and gusty winds. The greatest risk is along I-76 and in and near Sterling, Limon and Burlington.

  • Cooler temperatures arrive as cold front hits Colorado

    The much-anticipated cooler temperatures arrived earlier on Thursday as a cold front moved into the Front Range and eastern plains. Highs on Thursday didn't reach the 70s in the Denver area, following 15 consecutive days with highs above 90 degrees. We won't stay this cool for long; however, temperatures aren't expected to soar back to the upper 90s anytime soon. Highs will climb to the mid-70s on Friday, mid-80s on Saturday, and then to the upper 80s and near normal on Sunday.
