SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Homeowners who have to face the threat of wildfires may often feel powerless when battling such a destructive natural disaster. But there are things people can do to help stop homes from catching fire in the event of such a catastrophe. “It’s a natural disaster that is really mitigatable,” says Conner Nelson, co-owner of Apex Fire Preparedness. “There’s a lot you can do to reduce the risk.”Nelson created Apex Fire Preparedness with his business partner, Trevor Searle.
