    Planning permission for the redevelopment of a site in Creeslough where 10 people lost their lives in 2022 has been refused. An Bord Pleanala has overturned Donegal County Council’s decision to grant permission for the development of a shop and filling station on the site. Ten people were killed in the Creeslough explosion in October 2022. A number of others were injured.

    A DRIVER and passenger were taken to hospital following when a vehicle left the road and entered a field. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision involving one vehicle that occurred on the R257 at Stramartin, Derrybeg, on Thursday, June 12 at approximately 11.18am. The vehicle involved was travelling from Lunniagh towards Derrybeg when it left the road and entered a field. The driver and passenger were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment.
