GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — There are eight days left until the NFL Draft kicks off in Green Bay, and if you're coming to the city and plan on using a parking ramp during the event, you might end up paying double. During last night's city council meeting, a vote was passed to approve a proposal to raise parking rates in city garages from $1 an hour to $2 an hour during Draft week. That means visitors could be spending $24 a day.

APPLETON (NBC 26) — Citing a lost contract and economic uncertainty, Appleton-based Air Wisconsin notified regulators that it will layoff 128 employees between now and June. As we reported earlier this year, the Appleton-based carrier started "realigning" to focus on under-served and rural communities that rely on Essential Air Service (EAS) routes for air travel. In late January, a layoff notice issued by the company stated that over 500 employees were going to be affected.

OMRO (NBC 26) — One person was taken into custody and two are recovering in the hospital after a disturbance Thursday afternoon. Omro police responded to the 400 block of Jackson Avenue at 1:45 p.m. Thursday. Police say two people had suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital. A third person was also taken into custody. Authorities say there is no danger to the public.

BEAVER DAM (NBC 26) — The man accused of abducting a 17-year-old girl from Wisconsin has pleaded not guilty, and now he's voluntarily agreeing to extradition related to charges in Wisconsin and Arkansas. Gary Day appeared in court Thursday morning in Nebraska on two extradition complaints. The 40-year-old man is facing child abduction charges in Wisconsin and interference with custody charges in Arkansas after he allegedly kidnapped the girl in Wisconsin.

There will be statewide drills to help neighbors prepare with sirens sounding at 1:45 PM and then again at 6:45 PM. Weather experts say it's an excellent time to run through your tornado sheltering plane, whether you're at work, school or home.
