We’ve now received the personnel files for these three officers and learned more about what sparked this investigation from the beginning. We’ve confirmed that the investigation is related to the arrest of a 31-year-old man, Marquel Robinson, back in July of 2024.

    HAZLEHURST, Ga. (WTOC) - A tragic update in the case of a family in Hazlehurst, now mourning two deaths. We first reported last week, 20-year-old Tee’Andrick Lawson was beaten to death inside his mother’s home on West Plum Street in Hazlehurst. His death happened on April 2nd. His family has been looking for answers ever since, while no arrests have been made. We’re now learning that the man’s mother, Tasha Lawson, died over the weekend.

    HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WTOC) - We are another day closer to tee off at the RBC Heritage on Hilton Head Island. More prep work being done Tuesday along with some practice for the pro’s- and the weather has been amazing!Tuesday was even more packed than Monday, people started to trickle out and head to their dinner plans Tuesday evening. More prep work was being done in anticipation of Thursday’s tee off. More than 1,600 volunteers are helping to make this all possible.

The RBC Heritage kicks off Tuesday and Monday was all about getting those finishing touches done. WTOC has been at Sea Pines Resort talking with people all day long as the excitement builds. Sea Pines Resort is seeing a ton of people coming in for this golf tournament, everyone’s been enjoying different vendors and food spots.

    SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A man with a “hold” out of Liberty County and Bryan Counties has been arrested by Chatham County Police. On April 1st, 34-year-old Joseph Laroy Porter was arrested for rape, kidnapping, sodomy, aggravated assault, false imprisonment- in addition to his state custody holds in both counties. Chatham County Records reveal the man lives in Richmond Hill. According to Liberty County, “Our agency does have a hold on him. He currently has a bench warrant from the Superior Court.
