    Regional Water Rural Water Association said test samples from Exira, Brayton and Earling came back clear on Tuesday, and the boil advisory in those communities is now lifted. Exira city officials said while they're happy the boil advisory has been lifted, they still face long-term questions about water sustainability and service.

    A $70,000 pilot program for the state of Iowa is expanding menus in schools and connecting them with farmers. On Thursday, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig announced the 33 school districts/schools that will receiving the grant money, including the Council Bluffs Community School District. It's called the Choose Iowa Food Purchasing Program for Schools grant. The pilot program was authorized during the 2024 legislative session and is an initiative of Choose Iowa.

It's called the SoundShirt and Omaha Performing Arts is one of the first performance venues in the world to introduce it.     On Monday, Nebraska lawmakers upheld a lifetime ban on SNAP benefits for felons with drug convictions. LB 319 was six votes short of becoming law. The bill would have allowed a person with a felony drug conviction access to SNAP benefits if they completed their sentence, was serving parole, probation or post-release supervision.
