During an annual boys high school track meet at Glenwood High School on Tuesday, a student-athlete collapsed. Creston Community High School freshman Nate Bentley had just finished his 100-meter leg of the sprint medley relay. It was just the second heat of the entire event. Bentley handed off the baton to his teammate, turned and took three steps and collapsed into lane 8. "Don't know if it's an injury, don't know a hamstring," Jeff Bissen, Glenwood High School activities director, said.

Nebraska lawmakers spent hours of debate on a bill that would alter the state's electoral system. In the first round of floor debate on this bill, lawmakers discussed everything from the state's history to what-if scenarios before deciding to continue debating the bill. It came down to just two important votes from Sen. Merv Riepe and Sen. Dave Wordekemper. Ultimately the effort to move Nebraska to a winner-take-all system failed.
