LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Residents from all over the state are invited to participate in Serve the Rock, an event organized to celebrate the spirit of giving and community service in October. The event is organized by the Little Rock Regional Chamber and hosted by Create Little Rock Young Professionals. According to the Little Rock Regional Chamber, the community event will be on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dickey Stephens Park.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Conway Police Department announced Friday they are searching for a man believed to be armed with a knife. Police said they responded to an incident in the Quail Creek Subdivision on Old Highway 25 regarding a domestic situation. Conway police said the suspect Josh Johnson, took off on foot and is believed to have a knife. Police said if you see him do not approach him.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The city of Hot Springs has become a well-known spot for cosplayers to come and display their character creations. Season 7 of Hot Springs' Spa-Con starts on Friday and will end on Sunday showcasing cosplayers with national followings participating in the convention, said Visit Hot Springs. "Spa-Con is beginning to attract not just cosplayers, but also craftsmen," Visit Hot Springs Special Events Manager Alexis Hampo said.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A former public defender was sentenced on Thursday after pleading guilty to allegedly attacking a woman in her home in April. Our content partners at K8 News reported that on Wednesday Circuit Judge Robert Edwards sentenced Calvin F. Harrell, 49 to six months probation after Harrell negotiated a plea of guilty to one count of harassment. Court documents stated that on April 24 Harrell went into his ex's home in Cherokee Village where he hit her multiple times.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Big Dam Bridge 100 Cycling Tour of central Arkansas will welcome cyclists from all over the world on Saturday. This event is expected to bring in 3,000 riders from 30 states, five countries, and all over Arkansas, said event officials. Officials said the rides will range from 10 to 100 miles from Pulaski to Perry Counties. The starting line will be at Riverfront Drive and Willow and will end at Riverfront Park in North Little Rock.
