MADISON (WKOW) - Local cheese sculptor Vicki Janisch is set to attend the philanthropic 'Taste of the Draft' event in Green Bay, ahead of the NFL Draft. The first-ever Taste of the Draft will be held on April 23 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at Schreiber Foods headquarters in downtown Green Bay. The event is modeled after the 'Taste of the NFL' event held each year during the super bowl. The event will showcase an all that Wisconsin cuisine has to offer.

MADISON (WKOW) - One person is dead and another is in custody after a shooting Wednesday night, according to the Madison Police Department. Officers responded to the 1200 block of Fish Hatchery Rd. just after 10 p.m. for reports of gunshots and one person shot. Police reported that it could have been an accidental shooting. Once on the scene, officers gave medical aid to the victim until paramedics from the Madison Fire Department arrived.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Fish Hatchery Rd. just after 10 p.m. Wednesday night for reports of gunshots and one person shot. Once on the scene, officers gave medical aid to the victim until paramedics from the Madison Fire Department arrived. At this time, there is no update on the status of the victim.

TOWN OF JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) - A 30-year-old man is dead and another man is hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said deputies responded to the crash at the 5100 block of N Newville Rd. in the Town of Janesville just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday night. The vehicle was traveling south on N Newville Rd. when the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree, causing it to overturn.

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (WKOW) - Authorities say missing 17-year-old Sophia Franklin has been found safe. The suspect, Gary Day, is in custody. Day is the man police believed to be with Franklin while she was missing. On Wednesday around 11:40 p.m., deputies with the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office notified the Beaver Dam Police Department of a tip about a possible sighting of Franklin and Day near Omaha, Nebraska. Law enforcement made contact with Franklin and Day, and as a result Day was taken into custody.
