Intuit Art Museum's grand re-opening welcomed city leaders and the art community to it's expanded renovated space, now two buildings in West Town at Odgen and Milwaukee. Museum President and CEO Deb Kerr says the overhaul to the historic space is a dream come true, taking 20 months and more than $10 million dollars with $5 million coming from the City of Chicago. Launched in 1991 by a group of artists dedicated to so-called outsider art, the reopening included a ribbon-tying ceremony.

Students and parents at Conant High School in Hoffman Estates are grappling with the news of the unexpected deaths of two of their classmates, sophomore Litzy Flores, 16, and senior Yeferson Flores Ramos, 17.

LAKEMOOR (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the far northwest suburbs Sunday. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Police were called to Rand Road near Lake Drive in Lakemoor for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the roadway with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital but later died. A local tattoo shop owner said the shooting happened in front of his business.

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The man found dead in a house explosion in Cicero has been identified. Police say the human remains discovered in the debris of a house explosion on February 15 in Cicero have been identified as 31-year-old Anthony Avila-Puebla. Detectives say he had a relationship with a family member living at the home while that person was at a wedding. A Villa Puebla was seen on video carrying jugs of flammable liquid from his car into the two-story residence near Central and Surmak.

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Officials have released the cause of death for a man who was accused of a hate crime in West Ridge. A hate crime suspect in West Ridge died by suicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Autopsy results determined that on November 30, 22-year-old Sidi Mohammad Abdullahi was found unresponsive after he hanged himself in his cell. He was at Cermak Health Services where he was being treated for injuries he received in a shootout with police.
