HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- The University of Evansville celebrates the launch of a new program that helps educate students on invisible disabilities. The Heroes Among Us app, developed by the Sensory Inclusion Charity Corporation, is now live for beta testing. A kickoff event highlighted the next steps for the app, including getting it into schools. The Heroes Among Us app was founded by Tyler Myers, who won the University’s Changemaker Challenge in 2023.

Opening of redesigned Stockwell Road intersection, other Lloyd changes comingFollowing the morning commute, traffic will switch to the newly redesigned intersection at Stockwell Road. The new “Hybrid Intersection” will have a J-turn heading south on Stockwell and a displaced left turn heading north. The ongoing work at the Lloyd and Stockwell is part of the Lloyd4U project.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- A car crashes into an Evansville home, causing minor damage. Evansville Police Officers were called to the scene just after 1:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Boeke Road. Officers say the damage to the home would have been worse if the vehicle had not hit another parked car first. Driver arrested following fatal crash on St. Joseph Avenue Officers say the driver and a passenger in the car fled the scene before they arrived.
