Petersburg resident reflects on 35th anniversary of F-4 tornado A community yard sale will take place at the Newburgh Museum from June 12-14 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. June 14 is also Flag Day, and there will be a celebration on the Boonville Courthouse Lawn to commemorate the day. The celebration will feature live music, food trucks, games, and the playing of the national anthem at noon.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Authorities are asking for assistance in the ongoing search for a missing 19-year-old man. A silver alert issued by the Indiana State Police is now in effect as authorities search for Nikhil Sood. According to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, Sood is autistic and was last seen late Monday afternoon in the area of Adyeville Road near the Anderson Woods Summer Camp. The Sheriff’s office says it is believed Sood was camping in the area when he walked off.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- A Kentucky judge allows a lawsuit to go forward, which would hold several gun businesses responsible for the 2023 Old National Bank mass shooting that occurred in Louisville. Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge Mitch Perry recently ruled that the case could continue, despite a federal law that gives gun manufacturers and dealers immunity from crimes committed with their products.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- The National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky, is going offline for software upgrades. The office will be conducting a required, scheduled update to their advanced weather interactive processing system. The update is scheduled to begin around 8 a.m. on Monday, June 9, and last through June 11. During the process, all National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather radio transmitters maintained by the office will go silent.
