DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth schools are among those across Minnesota looking to fill over 700 tutoring positions for the 2025-26 school year through AmeriCorps programs Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Early Learning Corps. Americorps Staff Member Lindsey Molstad joind Fox 21 live on the morning newscast Wednesday to talk about the need. The city needs 16 tutors to help students build foundational skills in reading, math, and early learning.

DULUTH, Minn. — The 66th Annual Duluth Lions Club Pancake Day Returns to the DECC on Thursday, May 1, 2025 | 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM. Lions Club members Sarah Mayne and Jim Pratt joined FOX 21’s morning newscast to share details about this year’s event. Pancake Day will be held in Pioneer Hall at the DECC. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 4 and under eat free with a parent. Free parking is available, courtesy of North Shore Bank of Commerce and Minnesota Power.

SUPERIOR, WI. — A 36-year-old man was taken into custody early Monday morning following a standoff with police in Superior that began Sunday evening. Officers were called around 5:30 p.m. to a disturbance at a home on the 900 block of Clough Avenue, where the man was reportedly yelling, breaking windows, and throwing debris from a second-story window. A neighbor who entered the home to check on him found the man armed and suicidal, but was able to disarm him and flee.
