What’s not common is for the council to hold the hearing or not renew a liquor license. However, the council decided Tuesday, June 17 that it would not renew the Centerfolds' Cabaret’s liquor license, the only license subject to nonrenewal this year.

Superior stands alone in Wisconsin as the only community ineligible for financial assistance because the city's water utility is owned by a private company. In Wisconsin, the Department of Natural Resources administers the distribution of federal funding. Only municipalities are eligible for the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program.

    Jun. 13—LAKE NEBAGAMON — Travelers on County Road B may have to slow their roll through the eastern side of the village. Currently posted at 45 mph, the Douglas County Transportation and Infrastructure Committee is recommending reducing the speed limit to 35 mph after receiving a request from village officials. The village board approved a request Wednesday, June 11, to lower the speed limit in 45 mph zones on the east and west sides of the existing 35 mph zone through the village.
