MADISON – Official visit season is off to a smashing start for Wisconsin. The Badgers football team wrapped up their first batch of official visits on June 1. By the end of the day three of the 16 players who were on campus for the weekend announced their commitment to the program. The Badgers scored their second commitment of the day when Appleton North linebacker Ben Wenzel announced his commitment to UW’s 2026 class. At 6-foot-3 ½ and 217 pounds with a wingspan pushing almost 6-4, he brings some intriguing physical gifts to the position. MADISON – One day after Wisconsin announced its men’s basketball team will play an exhibition game at Fiserv Forum, a report says the Badgers are close to finalizing another game in Milwaukee for next season. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported that UW and Villanova are close to finalizing a two-game deal that would begin Dec. 19 at Fiserv. Rothstein wrote that the Badgers would play Villanova at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia during the 2026-27 season.
