We’re giving you the First Alert to warmer weather ahead!TODAYA chilly start to our Saturday morning. We’ll start the weekend off with temperatures in the 40s, so jackets will be needed for your morning walk. High pressure system over the Midwest will bring cool and dry northwest winds which will keep our highs today in the low 60s in the Grand Strand and mid 60s inland.

Looking at the data for the Grand Strand, the rainiest month of the year is actually September followed by August with a little over 6 inches of rain. April is actually the driest month but what about the Pee Dee, April is also the driest month of the year followed by November then October.

However, we’re still dealing with lingering showers as the front moves through. Clouds will be gradually increasing tonight. This will keep our temperatures warm tonight with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s. In addition to the warmth, it will be breezy tonight with gusts between 15-25 mph.
