    OGDENSBURG — To cut down on unruly behavior during the evening hours, the City Council has approved an ordinance amendment that would close down the Paterson Street and Greenbelt boat launches and parking lots from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., with the exception of vehicles with boat trailers. The City Council amended the ordinance in an attempt to end the issues of drinking, littering and the squealing of tires at the two boat launches following a public hearing.

    OGDENSBURG — The Elsa M. Luksich Municipal Pool will open for the summer season on Thursday and will remain open until an undetermined time in August. The pool is open to the general public Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. The pool is closed on Mondays for maintenance and cleaning. Thanks to a generous donation from the St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, public swimming will be free this summer.
