    Bobby Williams is trying to help by sharing stories about youth within the justice system who are trying to better their lives. The podcast, called “Dignity: A Podcast Docu-Series on WA Juvenile Rehabilitation,” is on all streaming platforms. It started Oct. 24 and will run once-per-week for seven episodes. This is the second season of the podcast. Williams, in partnership with Washington state’s Department of Children and Families created the podcast.

    People can help students from Aberdeen, Hoquiam and Montesano get a once-in-a-lifetime school trip to Washington, D.C.Students such as Montesano’s Cadence White are eager to head to the nation’s capital in order to see many of the historical sites, including the Smithsonian Museums, Marine Corps War Memorial, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, the U.S. Capitol tour, the Washington Monument, Gettysburg National Memorial Park, and more. The trip is scheduled for July 2026.

    Off the heels of winning a state award, Bette Worth and Bobbi McCracken were at it again with Spooktacular, a trick-or-treat event in downtown Aberdeen. Downtown Aberdeen Association hit it out of the park with Spooktacular. The duo had plenty of peers to make this happen as Rick Moyer and Amy Moyer — from Moyer Multi Media LLC. — were shooting free, professional photos for families, and Wil Russoul was doing his usual public relations gig and having a ball with everybody.

    Oct. 24—Given the city of Aberdeen's financial problems — it's about $3 million in debt — city staff and city councilors are trying to come up with ways to save the city money, or potentially add funding to bridge that large gap. One way is raising a cable television services and utility tax. The tax is specifically for water, stormwater and sewer. The tax would bring in an estimated $968,300 to the general fund, according to city documents.
