Anais has been missing for two days (Image: GMP) A search has been launched for a teenage girl from Sale who is missing despite "extensive enquiries". Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are looking for Anais, who has not been seen since 1pm on Tuesday (June 24). Anais, who was last spotted on Norris Road in Sale, is described as a white girl who is 5ft 4in tall with pink shoulder-length hair.

The executive last week agreed the alternative proposal which would create a total of 380 extra places at Sale High School and North Cestrian School, which is to be expanded onto land formerly occupied by Loreto Preparatory School. 2 1/1 A forgotten war hero from the Battle of Waterloo has been commemorated with a new memorial. A plaque honouring Ensign Charles Ewart has been unveiled in Davyhulme on the 210th anniversary of the battle that helped shape European history. Ewart, born in 1769, served in the 2nd Royal North British Dragoons (Scots Greys) and became a national figure after capturing the eagle standard of the French 45th Regiment at Waterloo in 1815.

People who live on Belmont Road say they were ‘flabbergasted’ when notices appeared on lampposts informing them of the plan. Telecoms companies are allowed to install masts without planning permission if they are no taller than 50ft and do not include antennas. The council’s Civic Quarter heat network which will use the heat generated from sewers to supply a network including Trafford town hall, Trafford College and Stretford High School, was funded by a £5.7m funding package from the Government earlier this month. In addition, the council has also identified a possible North Trafford Heat Zone, which could expand the heat network opportunity beyond the Civic Quarter, to also cover Wharfside and Trafford Park.
