Warrington Guardian
The Warrington Guardian is a community newspaper that has been serving Warrington, England, since 1853. Initially released every Saturday, it was acquired in 1856 by Alexander Mackie, who then launched several other "Guardian" newspapers in Cheshire, including the Northwich Guardian in 1861, the Altrincham Guardian in 1862, the Crewe Guardian in 1863, and the Chester Guardian in 1867. By 1859, the circulation of the Warrington Guardian reached 2,200 copies. As of 2013, the newspaper is part of the Newsquest media group.

According to conveyancing specialists Bird & Co, property prices in the town rose by 5.37 per cent from December 2024 to April 2025, the 15th highest increase in the country. This equates to an average rise of nearly £13,000 over the period, with the average price in December 2024 being £239,625, compared to £252,499 in April 2025. Daniel Chard, partner at Bird & Co, said the market is "starting to respond" after several interest rate cuts since mid-2024.

Warrington Hospital (Image: Newsquest) Recently I had a serious health episode and was rushed into Warrington A&E which is a war zone but I survived it. Further down the pecking order, it’s been an eye opener. The staff on Ward A4 have been absolutely amazing. I cannot thank them enough for all the time and effort they put into looking after me and getting me better. Nothing I asked for was any trouble whatsoever.
