Another round of rain is threatening the Midwest on Tuesday as people across the region scramble to clean up from the weekend's devastating floods. "Cars just getting washed out by the flow, completely taking up that street. I mean, that was a street before," said one resident. In Minnesota, rising water washed out a portion of the Rapidan Dam about 50 miles southwest of Minneapolis. The damage puts the dam in danger of failure.

ARLINGTON, Wash. – A significant flood threat is quickly unfolding as an atmospheric river drops torrential rain onto the Evergreen State. An atmospheric river is a narrow corridor of concentrated water vapor in the sky, transporting as much as 27 times the amount of water as the Mississippi River and causing downpours.

BLACK ROCK DESERT, Nev. – Monsoon rains Friday and over the weekend caused flash flooding at the annual Burning Man Festival in Nevada, turning the usually dry, desert landscape into a muddy mess. On Monday at noon, more than 72,000 festival-goers who have been trapped in Nevada's Black Rock Desert because of flooding conditions were given the go-ahead to leave, according to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office. But a driving ban remained in place.

BLACK ROCK DESERT, Nev. – Monsoon rains on Friday and over the weekend caused flash flooding at Burning Man, turning the usually dry, desert landscape of the festival grounds into a muddy mess. As of early Monday morning, thousands of festival goers remain trapped at Black Rock Desert in Nevada. Less than an inch of rain fell over the weekend, enough to create dangerous muddy conditions and cause roads around the festival to be shut down.

CEDAR KEY, Fla. – Jordan Keaton, head chef and owner of 83 West in Cedar Key, remains hopeful as he works to clean and rebuild his restaurant after Hurricane Idalia. Powerful winds from Idalia created storm surge that rose up to 6.89 feet in the island city of Cedar Key, according to the FOX Forecast Center. This broke the previous record of 6.1 feet from Hurricane Hermine in 2016. This much storm surge flooded a number of Florida homes and businesses, such as 83 West.
