SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A disturbing hazing incident has emerged in the Westhill Central School District, involving a group of students accused of taking a younger player to a remote area in Onondaga County. The students allegedly placed a pillowcase over the victim's head, tied his hands, and held him at knifepoint and gunpoint with an airsoft gun before forcing him into the back of a car. Other victims reportedly managed to escape the ordeal.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The community and elected officials came to the funeral services of the late Van B. Robinson on Monday afternoon. Robinson died on May 3. He served as the President of the Syracuse Common Council and was also its first Black President. He served two terms and a total of 18 years on the council. He was also a civil rights activist and fought fiercely for the community. Robinson was born in the Bronx and moved to Syracuse in 1968 and began a career in public service.

Donate Life New York State and Kinney Drugs launched Donate Life Rx on Friday. Donate Life Rx is a partnership between the non-profit and the pharmacy to increase tissue donation rates. Kinney Drugs will lead the effort with a day of action across its nearly 100 stores in New York State and Vermont.
