    If April showers really do bring May flowers, I anticipate abundant blooms in the month ahead. For whatever reason, last month seemed to be a long and heavy lift for a great many people with whom I regularly come into orbit. Whenever I would casually inquire, “How are you doing?” the responses I received seemed to be met with a collective sigh. Work was busy. Kids were restless. Taxes were due. Politics happened. It was cloudy and cold. We are, indeed, living in strange and unpredictable times.
