DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - An Iowa couple is growing shrimp in their backyard after selling their porta-potty business in 2021. Randy and Kathy Harter own Shrimp Down Yonder. From Highway 3, the rural Dubuque County shed blends into the rolling hills of northeast Iowa, but the Harters have converted the farm into an aquaculture facility, featuring about 40,000 whiteleg shrimp. “They’re nice! They’re just beautiful shrimp right now,” says Randy Harter.

The Stone Cliff Winery and Star Brewery are on the market after owners Bob and Nan Smith announced their decision to retire at the end of the year. "It'll be bittersweet," said Nan Smith. "Because these people are family to me."In the late 1990s, the Smiths started to produce wine in their garage, before moving into the Star Brewing Building in 2006. "We've grown into this building," explained Smith.

World War II aircraft flights, tours available in Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - The Commemorative Air Force is offering flights and tours of several World War II aircraft at the Dubuque Regional Airport. One of the aircraft on display is the B-29 Super-fortress "FIFI." It's one of the last two of its kind in operation, after nearly going extinct. Neils Agather co-pilots "FIFI." His father led efforts to rescue the aircraft from being used as target practice by the U.S. military. "Some of them were in pretty rough shape," noted Agather.
