A rally was held at High Park on Wednesday night to oppose the Doug Ford government's proposed plan to restrict bike lanes in Toronto, which many called an attack on cyclists. A tribunal hearing has found that a high-ranking Toronto Police Service (TPS) officer is guilty of two professional misconduct charges. The case involving Insp. Joyce Schertzer stems from a 2022 car crash involving her nephew, identified by the court as "Calvin." It happened just outside The Boulevard Club on Lake Shore Boulevard West. Insp. Schertzer was working at 11 Division on May 1, 2022, the day of the accident.

After two separate investigations, the Integrity Commissioner found Councillors Brad Bradford and Francis Nunziata both violated the code of conduct for members of council during recent elections. The Integrity Commissioner said they used constituent contact information from their offices for election purposes without consent from the constituents.

It appears that City of Toronto officials are trying once again to potentially limit the number of rideshare companies, such as Uber and Lyft, on its busy streets. Uber and the taxi industry have discussed this topic extensively over the years, and now the city has launched public consultations in hopes of gaining feedback that will eventually help regulate it.
