Qualicum Beach Lawn Bowling Club will be undergoing some renovations on its building. President of the QBLBC, Alan Brunskill, appeared as a delegation at Qualicum Beach regular council meeting on April 16, to relate their plans and also seek financial support from the town. This year, the club plans to replace its roofs on the indoor green and also make it more dependent on solar power which they plan to install on the original building roof.

With the weather starting to warm up, the tennis courts at Springwood Park in Parksville and Qualicum Beach are starting to get busy. The Arrowsmith Tennis Club is ushering some new activities this season to encourage more people to come out and play. This year's theme is 'Growing Our Club.' The club traditionally schedules programs in the morning and afternoon at Springwood Park or Qualicum Beach courts, since the club consists mainly of seniors.

The Regional District of Nanaimo board endorsed a plan to develop a trail that would link the Top Bridge trail to the Coombs to Parksville rail trail in Springwood Park. The board, at its regular meeting on April 8, passed staff recommendations to receive the E and N Rail Top Bridge Crossing to Despard Avenue in Parksville Project report and that funds be retained in the 2025-2029 financial plan to allow the initiative to proceed.
