ELGIN, Illinois -- Skeletal human remains have been found inside a car linked to a decades-old cold case, the Kane County coroner confirmed on Tuesday evening. The WLS-TV news helicopter was over the scene as crews removed the 1980 canary yellow Toyota Celica from the Fox River on Tuesday just before 3 p.m. following hours of work. Search teams with a nonprofit group called the Chaos Divers found the car, believed to have been submerged for 42 years, near the Slade Avenue boat launch on Monday.

President Donald Trump's administration has not announced any specific plans to privatize the United States Postal Service just yet, but amidst rumors of job cuts and a potential merger with the Commerce Department, thousands of postal workers rallied across the country this weekend, including in Chicago.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- With the four-month trial now in the rearview mirror, a juror from the Michael Madigan trial explained why they were able to convict the former speaker on some counts, but not others. When Madigan left the courthouse Wednesday, it was as a convicted felon. But, there is still a long way to go before the former speaker sees the inside of a prison, if at all, with the sentencing hearing expected to be months away.
