NWS Storm Prediction Center is highlighting an area west of a Medina to Lakewood line for scattered severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening. Areas east of that line could experience an isolated severe thunderstorm. Strong damaging straight-line wind gusts will be the primary threat, but there will again be a chance of some large hail. Spotty initial rain coverage will continue into mid afternoon, though thunderstorms are expected to move in by later Thursday afternoon.

Temps will fade into the afternoon as we ride the latest cool wave of spring. An increasing southwest breeze ushers in a much chillier air mass with the cold air deepening overnight into Tuesday. While it will begin on a chilly note with most areas just below the freezing mark, we are likely to return to wide open sunshine during the day. Aside from a cool Tuesday, temps will moderate by midweek.
