Spotty very light rain showers increase in coverage and intensity for the afternoon. As colder air returns on the back side of the system, the rain will start to mix with and eventually change to snow from north to south from mid-afternoon into the early evening. The last spots to see the change to snow will be well south during the early evening. Temperatures continue to plunge for the first half of the weekend with a nice recovery along with some snow showers across parts of the area Sunday.
