A 4-year-old Spring Valley girl died after a vehicle plowed into a group, including children, on a sidewalk on Saturday evening, June 14, outside Kennedy Park off Old Nyack Turnpike, according to Spring Valley police. Police reported that the driver appeared under the influence of alcohol and charges reveal he had previous drunk-driving-related convictions. The girl was the daughter of Spring Valley Village Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach, state Sen.

More than 2,000 lined the 'Four Corners' in Nanuet. Vehicles honked along with chants as they traveled the busy Route 59 corridor. Mount Kisco's “No Kings” protest started with a festive, somewhat outrageous flair, thanks to a “Kick out the clowns” theme. More than 1,000 turned out. The Mount Kisco crowd gasped when told a Minnesota legislator and her husband had died in what police called a "politically motivated" assassination. Another lawmaker and his wife were also shot.

SPRING VALLEY ‒ East Ramapo's interim superintendent Anthony DiCarlo's final day in the district is June 30. So far, the school board hasn't announced a new superintendent who would be due to start July 1. One thing is clear: DiCarlo will not be staying on, a decision he said was painful to make. He starts next month as interim superintendent of Pawling schools, a K-8 district in Dutchess County.
