    BOURBON, Ind. (WNDU) - The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado hit Bourbon on Wednesday night. Officials say the tornado began near Rutland at 7:52 p.m. and lifted near Etna Green (in Kosciusko County) at 8:10 p.m. The tornado was on the ground for a total of 18 minutes and 17.91 miles, with a peak width of 175 yards and peak wind speeds of 105 mph. The impact was most heavily concentrated in Bourbon, where at least 50 homes or commercial buildings suffered some type of damage.

    SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) -Earlier this year six children tragically lost their lives in a housefire. A growing memorial of teddy bears and toys sit in honor of 10-year-old Demetris, 9-year-old Davida, 5-year-old Deontay, 4-year-old D’Angelo, and 17-month-old faith smith.     SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - It is estimated around 133 billion pounds of food is wasted every year. Cultivate Food Rescue’s Mission is food recovery by gathering excess food that would otherwise go to waste. The food is then made into meals for children food programs or donated to food pantries. They are one of Michiana’s first food rescues. Tonight, the organization hosted its 3rd annual ‘Taste of Hope’ event at the Century Center here in South Bend.
