GRAND ISLAND — On the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, a group of Nebraska legislators and Gov. Jim Pillen gathered at Husker Harvest Days near Grand Island to talk about measures taken to safeguard Americans and to prevent the purchase of Nebraska land by foreign adversaries. Pillen on Wednesday was joined by state Sens. Eliot Bostar, Barry DeKay, Brian Hardin, Fred Meyer and Jana Hughes. Also appearing was Sherry Vinton, director of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.
