The fire happened in the 500 block of North 35th Street. Flames began shooting through the roof of a home in the 3 a.m. hour Friday. The second floor and roof of the home are pretty much gone.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. in Piedmont Avenue just south of Gasconade Street in St. Louis’ Mt. Pleasant neighborhood. Authorities say the car flipped over, though the circumstances leading up to that are not quite clear.

Heavy flames are coming out of a home on North 18th Street and Ridge Avenue. It’s unclear if the house had any occupants, but a neighbor tells FOX 2 he believes it was vacant.

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – Crews are working to contain an apparent house fire Thursday morning in East St. Louis. Heavy flames are coming out of a home on North 18th Street and Ridge Avenue. It’s unclear if the house had any occupants, but a neighbor tells FOX 2 he believes it was vacant. No injuries have been reported as of 6 a.m. It’s unclear what caused the fire at this time. East St. Louis fire crews are working to put out the flames.
