    Eighteen collie dogs lived in a filthy stinking static caravan with their owners for over a year - and most never went outside the door. Three dogs were killed by in-fighting as the dogs fought for survival in the cramped and sordid van. The appalling conditions were uncovered when Stephen Sturman was reported missing from the caravan on a farm at Iddesleigh in west Devon. Police went to the caravan where they were initially refused entry by his wife Rachel.
